Welcome to CILT
Welcome to the Colorado Institute for Leadership Training
The Colorado Institute for Leadership Training brings together emerging progressive leaders from the  private, non-profit, and public sectors to travel Colorado, build their leadership skills,  learn about the issues, policies and the people of this great state, and become engaged citizens.

Not only does the Colorado Institute for Leadership Training offer class members access to the policy  makers and experts on a wide-variety of Colorado-specific issues, but it also provides an excellent opportunity to network with other members of our community and develop long-lasting friendships and business relationships with class members and alumni.

If you are interested in CILT and would like to receive emails about upcoming events, programs, and applications for upcoming classes, please email Laura Embleton, Executive Director, at .

"The educated citizen has an obligation to serve the public. They may be a precinct worker or president. They may give their talents at the courthouse, the state house, the White House. They may be a civil servant or a senator, a candidate or a campaign worker, a winner or a loser.  But they must be a participant and not a spectator...  I would hope that all educated citizens would fullfill this obligation--in politics, in government, here in Nashville, here in this state, in the Peace Corps, in the foreign service, in the government service, in the Tennessee Valley Authority, in the world. You will find the pressures greater than the pay.  You may endure more public attacks than support. But you will have the unequalled satisfaction of knowing that your character and talent are contributing the direction and success of this free society"
